Christian Lancelot Du Lac was never one to take a situation seriously. Growing up he had always been the comedic relief to Jared Bonatelli’s brooding nature. Now, just as The Dark Order welcomes Jared as its new Prince, Du Lac is informed that he must become a first in command the future King can truly rely on. When he repeatedly fails in his attempts to prove himself, Lance is thrown back in time to where his life began, Camelot. What he finds there is more than he could have bargained for.
Drawn to the forest surrounding Camelot, Lady Elizabeth Payne searches for something that seems just out of her reach. Tormented by a pair glowing eyes in the mist she steals away in the middle of the night to find their owner. Thieves, a wolf and the most infuriating savior she has ever met turn her simple world upside down. But it’s the attraction she feels to the newcomer that truly takes her by surprise. Learning that he is Christian Du Lac, the long lost son of the First Knight himself peaks her curiosity even more.
Now on the cusp of meeting her betrothed for the first time, Elizabeth’s heart has been claimed by another. But even a betrothal written in blood is no match for fate.
For Lance and Elizabeth, the odds are stacked against them. Their worlds are destined to remain forever apart. Can time heal all wounds or will the fates change their course and let the star crossed lovers find each other once again?
REVIEW
Beyond Time is the second book in the Dark Order of the Dragon series by Sandra Bischoff. You can see my very spaztastic review of the first book, Beyond the Sun, here. I am hoping I can be a wee bit more professional for this one...no promises, though. This one was even better.
Once again, I feel like I've been beaten violently with a hammer. The twists and turns in this book were horrifying in all the best ways. I'm really not sure how to even review this bad boy without giving everything away. The details were so intricately woven into this book that it makes it very difficult to write a review that doesn't sound gushy and laden with spoilers.
I really enjoyed the setting of this book. It was different than any other book I've read, and Bischoff makes everything seem so real. It takes me a while to get back into modern day, boring Colorado life once I've been so deep into Camelot. The characters, the atmosphere, everything was VERY complex and I very much enjoyed stepping back into the beautiful worlds Bischoff creates. I can't wait for more!
My Rating:
And here is our interview with Sandi!

When did you know you wanted to be an author?
I didn’t always. In fact I pretty
much bullshitted my way through essays in school. Oh wait, should I have said
that? Probably not.
About ten years ago I had a MySpace
account, back before it became the mess it currently is. We were able to post
blogs and leave comments and it was all good. My screen name was the name of a
Sherrilyn Kenyon character. Out of the blue, I get a message from the leader of
a Dark Hunter online roleplay group. I was a little skeptical at the time but I
thought, what the hell.
After playing Sherri’s characters
for a few years, my first novel Beyond the Sun was born.
What are three things you must have to write?
Oh Gods, Coffee, music and pictures
of things that inspire me for that particular character. Each book has its own
playlist and all of the music is different for each one.
What’s your writing space look like?
My desk is uncluttered, until I
start a project. Then I have papers piled everywhere, on the floor, ottoman,
desktop and floor. It’s all about my research and outline. Make no mistake
though, it’s a system. I know where everything is at all times. There’s also a
TV with Supernatural, Charmed, Arrow, Bones or Castle on at any given moment. I
am a very visual and auditory inspired individual.
While writing Beyond Time, I watched
A Knights Tale, Camelot, King Arthur and Robin Hood (the Kevin Costner one)
almost on a continual loop. I think my family is going to forbid me from
watching them again.
Do you have a favorite genre to write in?
Paranormal/Fantasy. I love getting
lost in a world where anything is possible. That doesn’t mean every one of my
characters can do everything. They all have their limits.
Do you have a favorite amongst your characters?
Absolutely, and it shows in Beyond
Time. Lance is my favorite. His voice has always been the strongest in my head.
What can we expect next from you?
I am currently working on book three
of my Dark Order of the Dragon series. It’s called Beyond the Lie. The lead
character is Drakkar Dragoni, my teenage vampire. To give you a small hint at
it, he learns his whole life has been based on a lie and will be forced to make
a choice no one should ever have to make.
About the Author-
Sandi Bischoff lives in the historic town of Cornwall, NY with her husband, son and a menagerie of Dragons all of whom have their own distinct personalities. She is a Pharmacist by profession but finally found her true calling in a simple twist of fate. A friend approached her to write for a character in a forum on a popular networking website and over the next five years her passion had found its niche. She then went on to compose a few poems and short stories which she would post on her homepage at the same networking site. Recently one of those poems was chosen to be published in a compilation called Collected Whispers.
Her first manuscript entitled Beyond the Sun was another short story gone wild. It has recently been picked up by Bayou Brew Publishing and was released on April 1st.
