The Contract is part one in the Uncovering You series by Scarlett Edwards, who is an evil genius. I know, no one is going to believe that because her author photo below gives the illusion she is this sweet little thing who could never leave you with the most evil cliffhanger one can imagine, but don't be fooled. This book gets you all sucked in and involved and revved up to find out what will happen to our protagonist, Lilly, and then it just stops, leaving you with the urge to smack Edwards at the same time you beg her for the second installment.
I really enjoyed this book. I read through it in about two hours, I just could not put it down. The whole plot just captures you and you NEED to know what happens to Lilly, who this mysterious J.S. is and why does he want Lilly to sign her life away in his name.
Ugh. I would express my various issues with this but I would be giving away the whole novel, then, wouldn't I? And that just will not do. No. If you want to know why I am having such a tiff you will just have to read the book yourself. And yes, I highly recommend you do!
