Please tell us about yourself using 3 adjectives, 1 quirk and a pop culture addiction

Generous, Spaztastic, and imaginative. I collect anime, and I’m uber fangirl over Sailor Moon. Like if I had to pick between a picture with a rock God or a really good Sailor Moon cosplay, I’m going with cosplay.

How do you come up with character names?  How do you come up with novel titles?

Depends on the character. Some of them name themselves. Sometimes I get an idea of a character and ask friends/family for a name that matches the personality. Nameberry is an awesome resource.
Novel titles are their own special brand of torture. In most instances I have to give an elevator pitch to friends and ask for help. I don’t think I’ve named one without help since Unnatural Selection.

Do you have any advice for anyone that would like to be an author?

Write. Don’t stop writing. Even if it’s a poem, or a half page short story. Even if you feel it’s insignificant. Write. There is no way to get better without practice.

What is your favorite fairy tale? What do you love about it?

I don’t have one favorite. They all have their own special meaning and individual characters, so I can’t really pick one.

Tell us something people might be surprised to learn about you-

I have severe social anxiety issues. I put on a pretty good brave face, but under the facade I’m shaking in my shoes.
