Blurb-

Seventeen year old Rose Goldman is highly unpopular in the little town of Halfway. Ever since the 'attack' when she was a girl, people and animals have been afraid of her. She gets bullied in school, and called 'wet dog' because of the way she smells, despite being extremely hygienic. However, life takes a turn when a new teacher starts at Halfway High. Mr. Stone, the quirky and charismatic English teacher is twice Rose's age, but she feels an unexplainable pull towards him from day one. Despite her better judgement, Rose pursues a friendship with Mr. Stone, who seems unable to stay away from her.

What is pulling this unlikely pair together?

You Can Find Alpha Girl-

I have to tell you all first and foremost, this is going to be a slightly-fangirly review. Because Alpha Girl has a guilty pleasure of mine, and that would be a student/teacher relationship that is not disgusting, perverted or creepy... Ha. SO. Now that I've told you all way more than you wanted to know about me...

Alpha Girl is about Rose Goldman, a social outcast due to an attack at a young age, with loose "friends" and far too many bullies... Seeing as I've been in this situation before, I related to her almost immediately, and was able to stick with her. I really liked Rose, and considering I have disliked about 76% of the girls in...any...novels, that is saying something big.

Unfortunately for me, I can't really talk about Mr. Stone much, because, well... *sigh* Yeah. Just read it and get back to me. What a bummer, right? (see note above about guilty pleasure xP)

While I do think the story was strong, the characters were well developed, and the twists did punch me in the head, I was not knocked off my seat. This book is one that kind of meanders around a little before blowing up with awesome, and it took me a little while to get into it. And I am biased because I like a mind-numbing feels beat down... Ha.

In conclusion, Alpha Girl was a little difficult to get into, but I kept coming back for more and I'm very glad I read it. :)
